The IICRC S500-94 Standard, which outlines procedures for remediating sewage backflows into buildings, has changed the way the restoration industry must deal with gray and black water losses. Although sampling is not required in the standard, many companies and individuals have recognized the need to have an environmental consultant conduct clearance testing for the presence of sewage-related organisms after remediation is completed. Test results that reflect an absence of sewage-related organisms provides added protection concerning health, safety, and liability issues. In light of these concerns, we can provide the following:

Provide consulting, project management, testing and information on remediating sewage backflows into buildings
Perform Biotrace sampling an on-site screening for remaining bio-contamination. This is cost-effective, and saves additional money by providing immediate results. Work does not have to wait until results return from the lab.
Perform bioaerosol and surface sampling using standard industrial hygiene methods.
