The Restoration Consultant’s online Mold Awareness training program is based upon the worker training recommendations of National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS)
Restoration Consultants has developed an online training program following the NIEHS recommendations. The program is divided into modules that develop a worker’s knowledge and understanding of mold based on the activities they will perform. Each module will require approximately one hour for the average worker to complete.
Modules 1 and 2 taken together complies with the NIEHS recommendations for mold awareness training for maintenance workers that will be encountering and cleaning small amounts of mold from non-porous surfaces.
There are two training modules and a final exam. Each module will take approximately 45 to 60 minutes each.
The total cost for both modules is $130.00
An online exam is offered as Module 3. There is no additional cost for the exam. Those that successfully complete the course and pass the exam will receive a MAT - Certificate of Completion.
You will have 30 days (from registration date) to complete this online course.
BTT is an online course presented in 4 modules that takes approximately 4 hours. It contains quizzes and a final test. Learn about heat energy, phase changes, heat transfer, IR radiation and target surface thermal characteristics. You will begin the process of learning how to apply these basic principles to building moisture investigations and building envelope investigations.
The scope of this course includes:
Module I - The basic physics of infrared
Module II - The basic principles of thermodynamics and psychrometry
Module III - Building moisture investigations
Module IV - Basic building envelope investigations.
There is no additional cost for the exam. Those that successfully complete the course and pass the exam will receive:
Basic Thermography Training (BTT) - Certificate of Completion
Restoration Consultants’ *Basic Thermography Training (BTT)* has been approved for 0.5 CECs toward either cleaning/restoration, master designation, inspector or microbial categories of certification by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
You will have 60 days (from registration date) to complete this online course.
WRPA - Worker Respiratory Protection Awareness Training
The Restoration Consultants’ online Worker Respiratory Protection Awareness Training (WRPA) program is focused on satisfying OSHA worker training requirements for companies involved in the cleaning, restoration and remediation industries.
This training is for new workers that have never worn a respirator and as a refresher to satisfy the annual respirator training requirement for continuing workers. The module is self-paced so the exact training time will vary, but usually requires approximately one hour (including exam) for most students to complete.
An online exam is offered. There is no additional cost for the exam. Those that successfully complete the course and pass the exam will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Topics include:
When and why respirators are necessary
Respirator limitations and capabilities
Fitting, cleaning and maintaining respirators
How to inspect, don, doff, use and check respirator seals
OSHA respiratory protection program requirements
You will have 30 days (from registration date) to complete this online course.
RPPA - Respiratory Protection Program Administrator Training
OSHA requires that companies with employees using respirators have a respiratory protection program administrator who makes sure the respiratory program requirements are met. This on-line training provides guidance to the program administrator in establishing a written respiratory protection program, training workers, assisting workers to complete the medical evaluation and providing respirator fit testing.
The program is divided into three modules that is designed primarily for the cleaning, restoration and remediation industries. Each module will require approximately one hour for most students to complete. The entire program, including 2 exams, will generally require a total of 4 hours. The modules are self-paced so the exact training time will vary.
Module 1 is RestCon’s on-line Worker Respiratory Protection Awareness training program. This module is available as a stand alone module for use in worker training and provides the basis for understanding the role of the Respiratory Protection Program Administrator.
Module 2 is the Program Administrator Training providing the guidance that administrators need to oversee the worker’s respiratory health and safety.
Module 3 is the Fit Test — Train the Trainer module. It provides step-by-step guidance for administering and documenting worker fit tests.
An online exam is offered. There is no additional cost for the exam. Those that successfully complete the course and pass the exam will receive:
Worker Respiratory Protection Awareness — Certificate of Completion
Respiratory Protection Program Administrator — Certificate of Completion
Fit Test Train the Trainer – Certificate of Completion
You will have 30 days (from registration date) to complete this online course.
